Synchronity
Connect your store

Connect Shopify

Connect a Shopify store to Synchronity in one click — enter your myshopify.com domain and approve. No plugin, no API keys, nothing to host.

Shopify is the easiest store to connect. There is no plugin to install and no API key to copy — you authorize Synchronity once on Shopify's own screen and you're live.

Before you start

You need the store's .myshopify.com domain (for example acme-coffee.myshopify.com). Find it in your Shopify admin under Settings → Domains — it's the permanent domain, even if your storefront uses a custom domain.

Steps

  1. In the merchant portal, open Storefronts and click Add Storefront.
  2. Choose Shopify.
  3. Enter your Storefront domainyour-store.myshopify.com.
  4. Click Connect store. You're redirected to Shopify.
  5. On Shopify's approval screen, review the permissions and click Install / Approve.
  6. Shopify sends you back to the portal. Your store now shows as connected under Storefronts.

That's it — the connector is fully managed by Synchronity. There is nothing to deploy or maintain.

Troubleshooting

  • "Connection started but couldn't be finished. Try connecting again." — the approval didn't complete (you closed the Shopify tab, or the session timed out). Click Add Storefront → Shopify and run through the approval again.
  • "Shopify connection failed." — Shopify rejected the authorization. Confirm you're logged into the correct Shopify store as an admin, then retry.
  • Wrong domain? Make sure you entered the .myshopify.com domain from Settings → Domains, not your public custom domain.

Next

Once connected, an agent can discover your store with list_sites and start browsing. See the Quickstart for the agent side.
